It’s the epitome of awesomeness, packed with veggies like crisp bean sprouts, crunchy okra, elephant ear (taro stems), pineapple, and tomatoes. It's not complete without the trimmings of fragrant herbs to garnish like the rice paddy herb (rau om), culantro (ngo gai). This soup is zesty, tangy, and absolutely badass a staple soup from our southern Vietnamese cuisine. An explosion in your mouth, with a bit of sour, a bit of sweet and a punch of spiciness.

Vegetables (73%) (Okra, Tomato, Taro Stem, Pineapple (Fruit), Mung Bean Sprouts, Sawleaf Coriander, Rice Paddy Herb), Sugar (Cane), Salt, Shrimp (4%)(Crustacean), Potato Starch, Flavor Enhancer (621), Fish Sauce, Stabiliser (420), Thickener (1422), Yeast Extract, Acidity Regulators (330, 300,296), Fried Garlic, Chilli Powder, Flavor Enhancers (627, 631), Antioxidant (307b).

Our SUP journey from Farm to Table

The beginning

It started during covid-19 where we were throwing out mass produce of vegetables from our family greenhouses in Cu Chi and Dalat, Vietnam. We wanted to find a way to reduce waste, preserve our vegetables, and showcase a product that is both convenient and easy for everyone.

Harvesting

Our vegetables are hand picked at the right time to lock in that freshness, we don't like nasties, so all our vegetables are GMO free! They are then carefully harvested using strong practices, making sure it's sustainable, safe and clean, after all, we are also proud to be certified VietGAP!

Transportation

The selected vegetables are then packaged into containers and crates, with increased hygiene practices and transported to our sister manufacturing company ready to be freeze dried.

Processing

At our sister manufacturing facility, it's like stepping into a chocolate factory with rooms of boiling, heating. and freezing temperatures! The vegetables are prepped and ready to undergo some major work to lock in that crispy freshness!

The Magic

Working with the R&D team, there's been some crazy hours put in to make sure the flavours are balanced and hit the spot. There's been back and forth on the recipe front to ensure that each bowl of soup is consistent without compromising on the taste!

Packaging

Our SUPs are packaged up, and ready for the world! Our mission is to elevate Asian soups (which we believe is a start!) to the next level, making it super convenient for everyone to enjoy!

This is such a lifesaver! I am honestly mind-blown at how the Canh Chua tasted, as I love the soup but have no time at all with 2 kids and a million things on. And all you do is just add water – Super impressed that there’s real vegetables in there and not that artificial flavouring.

I had the canh chua instant soup on two occasions from Sup Foods and the taste was incredible!

Right from the packaging to the taste, I was not disappointed! The broth has a rich flavour and is full bodied, the spices aren’t overbearing like some instant soups can be and the beauty of this soup is also in its convenience - just add hot water! Absolutely would buy again and can’t wait for bulk packs!
