Meet Theresa
Hi y’all - I’m Theresa! (Writing this has always been a little awkward, so please excuse me!)
Growing up, my parents were part of the Vietnam War and were refugees from the early 80’s, first settled in Toowoomba, QLD. Born and bred in Australia, I grew up in Western Sydney but saw hardships from my parents trying to earn a living in a new foreign country. We had many stints within the food business including a take-away shop and a bakery – which really gave me an insight into owning a business.
I have a love of travel, and a knack for discovering new cuisines and different cultures, but always had a love of Asian food, especially growing up with Mum’s nourishing homemade soups.
While living overseas I saw a real gap in the market of convenient and nutritious instant soups, and thought, hey, Miso shouldn’t have ALL the fun? Why can’t we have other Asian soups in the market – instantly, filled with real ingredients? An absolute soup lover I then travelled back to Vietnam when my aunt had a similar idea to work on this business venture.
My aunt saw an opportunity to reduce vegetable waste during COVID-19, where tonnes of vegetables were being thrown out, which really prompted us to ponder why not freeze-dry so it prolongs the lifespan but still locks in the nutrients.
We both wanted to reduce this waste and showcase the different variety of Asian soups – and let’s be honest, our soups are not a hug in a mug, but a punch in the face with those flavours bursting.
We are proud of our Asian heritage and want to elevate our soups to the next level, by making it convenient and instant for everyone to enjoy, hence...ta-dah SUP was born…! Why not use Japanese technology to make freeze-dried soup cubes?
SUP’s vegetables are picked at the right time in our family-owned greenhouse. We work with our sister manufacturing company, alongside the R&D team on product testing, and (with a lot of eating- of course!) to make sure flavour is not only being locked in but quality ingredients are used, ensuring a real authentic taste that is both nourishing, healthy and instant, without compromise, like how I grew up with Mama’s cooking.
I have worked in corporate, for close to 20 years and this is my first stint in something like this. My father up in heaven will probably have another heart attack, but hopefully proud of his family!

Super delicious soup and so easy to make. I’ve been making it as an addition to my quick meals and it’s been a game changer. The shiitake mushroom is my ultimate go to 😊. Sups have definitely earned their permanent spot in my pantry!

Such a great range of flavours. My fav is the shiitake mushroom. Love the freshness of the veggies! So quick and easy to make. Perfect for my busy work schedule, gets me through the day. Definitely recommend it!
Tried it and absolutely loved all of them! Hard to choose a favourite but the canh chua has got to be it.. completely nailed it with the flavours. Next best thing to mums cooking with 100% convenience.

Faqs
If your soup cube is soft, or the packaging is unsealed with a slight rip, please disregard the soup cube immediately.
This can happen from various factors like oxidation, or a slight rip whilst being transported.
While we pride ourselves on making sure our product is at optimum quality, these things may happen. Please disregard immediately and email us at hello@supfoods.com.au, and we can organise another packet to be sent to you.

This really depends on our delivery partners but we have partnered up with some big trustworthy names such as Sendle, DHL, Australia Post and to make sure you’ll receive your delivery in 2-4 business days!
Only our Malabar Spinach & Crab Soup contain eggs.
We recommend adding 150-220mL of hot water to our soup cubes or three-quarters of a small bowl (if you don’t have a measuring cup). Of course, if you like your soups blander, please slowly add more water.
It’s best with boiling hot water to dissolve the components of the soup cubes – wait for 3 mins and let the magic happen!
Our vegetarian range soups have no bi- products from animals, egg or dairy.
Freeze drying has taken out all the moisture from the product, vacuumed out to make this super light and convenient – why not pack some SUPs on a camping trip, a holiday, or just because…?
